OUR FILM EVALUATION:
What Have You Learnt By Doing This Exercise?
In our film, the cuts were smooth and the colour grading and lighting were good. Furthermore, the sounds were precise and well applied. However, the camera was a bit shaky and the storyline was a bit hard to follow. I have learnt that making a film is a lot harder than i anticipated. It requires a steady hand to film and a clear and set out plan so that you make sure your storyline is easy to follow and that it is not a bit 'wish washy'. Furthermore, i have learnt that the quality of the audio and lighting really make the difference between a professional film and an easily distinguishable amateur film.
What Skills Have You Developed?
This time while making the film i have learnt a whole new set of skills this is because i have been involved in a completely different jobs in the production of the film.
Pre-production: i have learnt to create a detailed and well labeled/annotated storyboard with shot lengths, angles and a detailed description of what is going to happen in the major shots.
Production: i have learn how to film and learnt how to effectively implement different camera shots
Post-production: i have learnt how to implement soundtracks and other elements like sound effects and colour grading to further enhance my films end result .
What Feedback Have You Received?
How Could You Improve?
I could improve by trying to make sure all the camera shots did not have any glare, that the camera did not shake and that nothing was over exposed. Furthermore, i could get more involved with the editing process
